Our history
Our story began 10 years ago, in August 2014, when Sergio Bacari started sharing regular updates about the unique life in Israel with his friends and family in South America. Day by day, he noticed that his posts were reaching a wider audience until, one day, he made a life-changing decision: a new Facebook page was born with the name “Un Bacari suelto en Israel.”
The daily posts became deeper and more interesting, telling stories about the culture and religion of the Holy Land. Their love for the Land of Israel and Jerusalem was reflected in every line. Over time, and after thousands of stories written, the beloved community asked for something special: they wanted to see and feel the spirit of Israel through their eyes. So, Bacari bought a camera and went exploring. He traveled through the vast Negev Desert, the vibrant streets of Tel Aviv, and the holy sites of Jerusalem’s Old City, accompanying each video with a unique story.
If you are familiar with Facebook, you will know that posts and videos have a very short lifespan and content gets lost and hard to find after a few days. To solve this problem, Bacari started a YouTube channel of the same name in June 2018. The community grew and grew, with thousands of followers on each platform.
In early 2024, Bacari wanted to do something big to celebrate its 10th anniversary and give its beloved community more of the Holy Land and more of Jerusalem. Its eldest son, Ishai, had the idea of bringing a piece of Israel to followers through an online store that would include the best of Israel: from religious items and Bibles, to souvenirs from the market in Jerusalem’s Old City, to jewelry and clothing with unique designs from Israel and Jerusalem.
